Happy – Preparing for Sunday
I want to start with a reminder that we have a new starting time Sunday – 10:00am!!! We will continue our Psalms of Ascent with Psalm 128.
What we see in Psalm 128 is a well ordered life. The ideal, the picture of what we were created for and what is ours to live out in Christ Jesus. The fruit of this well-ordered life is happiness, “blessed”, as the Psalm 128 starts with.
The quiet blessings of an ordered life are traced from the center outwards in this psalm, as the eye travels from the godly man to his family and finally to Israel. Here is simple piety with its proper fruit of stability and peace. – Derek Kidner
