Psalm 134 – Preparing for Sunday (11/22/20)

Brian Sullivan   -

The Psalms of Ascent end in the presence of God – blessing God and being blessed by God. Psalm 134 reminds us that the road of following Jesus ends well.

What makes following the Christian path, the way of the pilgrim seeking first the kingdom of God, so good by ending so well? We come now, having introduced the theme of the psalm of ending well, to the three-time-repeated word blessing and the central proposition of this psalm: a life lived for God is a life that blesses God and a life that is blessed by God. – Josh Moody
