Brian Sullivan   -

Has been great to meet up in a safe environment to connect and encourage one another spiritually. Would love to have you join us this week – here are the details and questions we will discuss:

  • Thursday July 30th – 6:00-7:00pm (dinner + discussion)
  • Carlin Park – 400 Florida A1A, Jupiter, FL 33477  (picnic tables behind Lazy Loggerheard Cafe)
  • Bring your own dinner if you would like to eat
  • Also, you are welcome to bring a chair and stick around for as long as you like to hang out on the beach

We will discuss anything that we beneficial from the sermon plus a few questions adapted from the “Find Your Way” community group study (you can work through on your own).

Discussion –Emotion

Discuss anything from the text (Proverbs 15:30), sermon or blog post that caught your attention, challenges or confuses you

Why do you think it is important for us to have emotions? In what ways have you seen emotions bring life? Be toxic and bring death?

Read Psalm 42:5-6 – Where do you tend to lean: emotionless or over-emotional? How does a right view of God bring change and a right balance to our emotions?

Talk about the life of Jesus — how did he display various emotions? How did his emotion drive him to bring freedom, life, and joy to people (and us through the gospel)?

How would you describe your emotional connection to God? What do you think your emotions would be if you lived in light of God’s love for you, shedding his grace upon you, and knowing he will always be victorious?
