Preparing for Worship: 4/27/25
Thank you for joining us for the Easter Season. We are looking forward to moving into the second half of the book of Ephesians and explore the implications of the Gospel of grace that we have been introduced to in chapters 1-3. Kent Hughes put the shift in the book this way:
This shift can be expressed in many ways: from doctrine to duty; from creed to conduct; from the Christian’s wealth to his walk; from exposition to exhortation; from the indicative to the imperative; from high society to a high life. Because of the amazing theological realities of chapters 1—3, Paul urges the Ephesians (and us) “to walk in a manner worthy of the calling to which you have been called.” (4:1).
