Sin Pollutes – darkens our life and heart —> (1 John 1:7) the blood of Jesus purifies us from all sin
Sin Poisons – spoils our relationships w/God & others -> he who new no sin, became sin so that in him we might become the righteousness of God
Sin is Powerful – destructive power over our lives – addictive -> (John 8:36) if the son sets you free, you are truly free
Sin Partitions – between us & God – (2 Cor 5:19) In Christ God was reconciling the world to himself, not counting their trespassing
But why? Why did Jesus have to die? Because he loves us.
I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me. – Gal 2:20

v/31-42 “that you also may believe” Why did Jesus die? So we might believe in Him
