Psalm 23:3 – “He restores my soul”
i. You have a soul: life – Genesis 2:7
“then the Lord God formed the man of dust from the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man became a living creature.”
ii. The ruined soul: self – Psalm 42
v/1-as a deer pants for flowing streams, so pants my soul for you..
v/2 – my soul thirsts for God
v/3 – “where is your God? These things I remember as I pour out my soul
v/5 – why are you cast down, O my soul, and why are you in turmoil within me?
v/6 – my soul is cast down within me
v/11 – Why are you cast down, O my soul, and why are you in turmoil within me?
